Our beautiful tree is gone. No more leaves and branches to pick up (yeah!) - but no more shade and privacy [boo :( ] In two hours, three guys changed the look of our yard and the look of the entire street. Even the neighbours have commented on how the look of our street has changed - the tree was such a dominant feature. We are left with a pile of wood that will need to be split in the near future so that it is usable in the fireplace or campfire. Now that we can really see the house (first time in over a decade), it is now apparent that the next task will be repainting of the trim ..... we can see the peeling paint that had been so well hidden up to this point. The slippery slope of home ownership continues!
