A quiet morning around the Burton household. The girls finally rolled out of bed around 8 am .... I had been up for over an hour ... old habits die hard. I remember Grama saying that mom was only allowed to sleep in until 8 am. Sitting with her and waiting for everyone to wake up is a special Christmas memory for me. After eating the orange in the toe of our stockings, the present opening commenced. It was nice to take the time to open one present at a time ... though Poppa's approach to opening did not happen once. Lots of paper tearing - Oscar was in heaven! With all of the present fun out of the way, we are preparing to head over to friends for a Christmas brunch.
