Wow it is sure bright!

Since the beginning of December when I had a home stager come through our house and make suggestions about how to update the house to 2008 from 1988 .... ideas have been swirling through my mind about what we could do. On Sunday Mitch and I walked through a lighting store and came out with $600 worth of new fixtures .... saving some $250 or so because of the year end sale. That meant we now had 6 lights (4 hallway/laundry room fixtures), one for above the stairs and the dining room to replace. We started with the easiest ones on Sunday and we were very pleased that the globes were now replaced. With 2 CFLs in each, we now have LOTS of light in the hallways. Monday night Mitch had come up with an idea about how we were going to reach the dining room ceiling, so 2.5 hours later we now have a beautiful, and yes quite bright, chandelier hanging. We're holding off on the one above the stairs .... getting up to the ceiling there is going to take a bit more engineering :) So, what do you think ?

I've played with the photo a bit (removed the yellow). With all the light, the walls
are reading very yellow ... time for a paint job!
