Springing to life

With us being home for most of the summer this year, the girls and I decided to do some planting. A bunch of seeds were started inside and then later transplanted into the new flower box that Mitch and Tessa constructed. Our past experience in the actual garden hasn't been great as the slugs end up eating most everything and we end up with nothing, so container gardening was the plan this year. The girls are quite excited at how quickly the peas are growing (don't ya just love peas for that reason) and are already dreaming of eating peas off the vine!

The backyard is looking a bit different too, with the new composter that Mitch and I constructed along with the removal of the fence (and rebuild of the wall) between us and our back door neighbours. The next job on the list is the putting up of a new fence (back onto the slippery slope of landscaping now!)
