I've been following a quilt blog (Lazy Gal Quilting) for quite some time with some rather liberated piecing ... no matching points here! There are many examples of these word quilts that have caught my attention along with some very good tutorials on how to tackle each of the letters. So, with nothing else to do (yah right!) I decided to give it a try ... of course half way through my name, the girls both climbed out of bed and decided they wanted to try also! I'm pleased to report that other than me cutting the strips for them, they did all the sewing and ironing. These letters were rather fun .... maybe I'll tackle a family quilt yet with names of all the family put together with different backgrounds. We'll see :)
