Day 2 - Chasing Nancy

Nancy is the one in red .... she is one amazing skier!
Today was the day we planned on meeting up and skiing with Nancy Greene - she does this on a regular basis.  What we found out was that she is a rather punctual gal .... the signs said to meet at 1 pm at the top of the Sunburst chair.  We arrived at EXACTLY 1 pm after an impressive race from our hotel room to the slopes and up the chair and she had already gone.  The lift operator noticed we were standing around and told us that she had left about 5 minutes before, so off we went in search for Nancy.  Mitch managed to catch up to her in the lineup at the bottom, so up we went again!  This time we were able to tag along as she took off through the trees with a bunch of kids.  She wouldn't take them on anything too difficult?!  Off Alex went so Mitch followed and Tessa and I decided to not go through the trees, my achy knees would not appreciate that.  So we headed down Cruiser ... most of the blues up here are more teal than blue so we figured it wouldn't be a problem.  Tessa did great until the final little bit - it was DARK blue by then and she and I slid down sideways rather than somersaulting.   I found out later that Alex had run into some difficulties in the trees and had taken her skis off ... and a kind sole came by and helped her out.  Mitch was down below and was unable to help.  It turned out that the gentleman was the husband of a friend of mine ... whom we ran into at the Christmas Concert that was held over at the Delta.  Such a small world!
