We had noticed going up the Sunburst chair that there were a few trees decorated with ornaments, so today we started our skiing off over on the Morrisey side of Sun Peaks where Mitch remembered seeing a number of trees decorated when he skied here 2 years ago. There was about 4 or 5 new centimetres of new snow and we all were looking forward to making some tracks. On our first ride up the chair we completely missed the decorated trees but on the 2nd time we spotted at least 10 .... not sure where we were looking the first time. Mitch later found out that people from around here come up and decorate the trees for fun. The snow was fantastic and skiing through the glade was very cool - definitely a highlight.
