Our three day Sun Peaks adventure finally arrived! The girls couldn't wait to go ... an added bonus was going the day earlier and staying at the Hampton Hills hotel in Kamloops. The water slide and pool weere highlights from our last stay here with Grandma and Grandpa Oram. The 45 minute drive Friday morning was uneventful and we were able to do a full day of skiing. What a great family hill, quite a bit larger than the hill we normally ski on. Lots of variety off of every chair. Mitch was able to ski black diamonds and the rest of us on the green run and we still could meet up and ride the chair up together. One of our favorites is a run called '5 mile'. Its a full five miles from the top of the mountain to the bottom. Combined with the high speed quad chairs, we have been getting lots of skiing in even with the hill closing down at 3 pm. Even with the relatively small snow base of 170 cm, the snow is good and really good at the top. The townhouse we've rented is gorgeous and there is lots of space for all 9 of us. The only downside is that Tessa got sick last night so she and I are hanging out here rather than on the hill. She is a bit bummed as she was having so much fun yesterday. Both of our ski bunnies want to come back here again ... Mitch and I too!
